The Círculo del Liceo hosted the Luncheon-Colloquium "The Biden Administration: strengthening alliances to face global challenges" with Robert Riley, Consul General at the United States Consulate in Barcelona.
Robert Riley holds a law degree from the University of Michigan and a degree in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame. A career diplomat, he is a Senior Member of the Foreign Service. He has served in different functions in embassies around the world, such as Hungary, El Salvador, Colombia and Honduras. He has also held positions in numerous US diplomatic agencies, such as Deputy Director of the Office for Southern European Affairs in Washington or Political Counselor in the US Permanent Mission to the Organization of American States. On August 23, 2018, he took office as Consul General of the United States in Barcelona.
