The Círculo del Liceo hosted the "Woman and Fashion" Lunch-Colloquium with Joaquín Pérez Valette, haute couture designer.
The event began with an exhibition in the Sala La Rotonda and the Sala Alexandre de Riquer of 15 haute couture suits designed by the speaker. After the sample, the assistants went to the Restaurant for the Lunch-Colloquium.
Joaquín Pérez Valette began his career in the world of fashion in 1968, in a casual and almost anecdotal way. During his first ten years in the industry, he worked in an import company, coinciding with the beginning of ready-to-wear in Spain, an exciting and enriching period in which everything was new and everything had to be done. The next 10 years were spent in an Italian company Sir Bonser and Lady Bonser. Pérez Valette was in charge of Lady Bonser, a brand with which they brought silk and linen to Spain, coinciding with the slogan “wrinkles are beautiful” by Adolfo Domínguez. Later he collaborated with Angelita Morillo, specialized in haute couture. For 23 years he has had his own atelier in Barcelona, where he works with the same enthusiasm and fascination as always.
