The Music Commission of the Círculo del Liceo hosted the third and last part of the conference "Great tenors of Italian opera in the 20th century" by Antoni Colomer, cultural manager, music critic and popularizer.
The last of the three conferences dedicated to the most outstanding tenors of the Italian opera of the 20th century was focused on the newborn generation in the thirties and quarters. A generation dominated by Spanish people, who became the most popular in the world. Figures like Alfredo Kraus, Jaume Aragall, Plácido Domingo and José Carreras will share the opera Olympus with the last great Italian tenor: Luciano Pavarotti.
Antoni Colomer has developed his career in institutions and festivals such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Schubertíada, Juventudes Musicales de España or the Xavier Montsalvatge Association. As a critic and musicologist, he has collaborated with Catalunya Música, La Vanguardia Culturas, Núvol Digital, Platea Magazine and Revista Musical Catalana, among others. He is a critic and contributor to the magazine Ópera Actual.
